What Happened?

Day 97 of living in China. I have been needing to blog and update everyone on how shows are going, how China is, how homesick I am... but something bigger has come up. On Wednesday, October 11th, Jess had to unexpectedly fly home due to the loss of her Father. I don't feel comfortable blogging in depth about this sensitive and personal matter. We have been in contact everyday since she left. She is safe and surrounded by family, friends, and love. I miss her so terribly and can hardly believe this has all happened.

Without a second to reflect on everything that had happened...Snow White performances on the horizon I was put into immediate rehearsals to take over her role as Snow White. I went on as Snow this past Saturday with only two days of rehearsals, naturally I was petrified. I thought of Jess the entire time, dedicated the show to her and prayed I would't make a fool of myself. The shows were successful, it was like being in a dream state the entire time though. This was one of the craziest things I have ever done for the theatre.

Life is shockingly different without her now. She is one of my most dear and best friends, China is a pretty lonely place now without her. I send nothing but prayers of love and support to her and her family.

I will start to post pictures of Snow White, but I needed to share this blog first to explain what had happened. I would like to thank the cast and crew for being so supportive of me while transitioning into this new role.

A picture of Jess & I having the best day ever in Hong Kong Disney.
